1930s slabbed sycamore chopping block - 7 feet long. Scarcely seen single piece sycamore top, a type usually associated with Lancashire and Yorkshire. Dramatically worn from 5.5” at the ends down to an inch in the middle. Still totally solid for domestic purposes.
Original painted pine base with one leg tipped. Single piece sycamore blocks are uncommon and the only type I buy. This is above and beyond the largest example I’ve seen.
